Relax Inn is a family-run motel on Route 28 in West Yarmouth. We have 40 rooms, an outdoor pool, and a core staff that comes back season after season. The family has been running this property for more than 20 years.
In 2024, the property reopened as Relax Inn under new ownership. We put real work into it before we opened: new hardwood floors and carpet went in across all 40 rooms, the exterior got a refresh, the WiFi was upgraded, and the pool had cosmetic work done. The motel looks and feels different than it did a few years ago, and we want guests to notice that.
When you check in, you are talking to the people who own the place. Not a front desk agent at a managed property, not a call center. The owners are on-site during the season and involved in the day-to-day. That means if something needs attention, it gets handled by someone who actually has a stake in your experience.
Our staff returns year after year, which means the people working here know Cape Cod well. They know which beaches are worth the drive, which ferry line makes more sense for a day trip, and where to eat without waiting an hour in August. That kind of local knowledge does not come from a pamphlet rack.
This motel is our livelihood. We have been doing this a long time, and we take it seriously.

We get a lot of guests who use us as a base for island day trips. Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard ferries leave from Hyannis, 5 minutes from the motel. We keep current Hy-Line Cruises and Steamship Authority schedules at the front desk.

What to Expect During Your Stay
No surprises. Here is what staying at Relax Inn actually looks like.
Check-in is at 3 PM, check-out is at 11 AM. If you need to drop your bags earlier, just ask when you arrive and we'll do what we can.
We are open April through mid-November. We close for the winter. If you are planning a trip outside that window, give us a call to confirm availability.
Pool hours are 9 AM to 9 PM during the season. It is an outdoor pool, so hours are weather-dependent. Nothing fancy, but it gets used every day in July and August.
Parking is free. Pull in, park outside your room, and you are done. No parking fees, no resort fees, no charges tacked on at checkout.
